No Borders 2 is an exploration of time, memory and trauma told through the stories of African characters who have been victims of human rights violations in their homelands.

No Borders Theatre was set up in 2015 as a reaction to the crisis in Syria. Its first production, ”No Borders”, consisted of a series of one-act dramas that focused on the challenges that migrants from different nationalities face.

Noma Written and directed by John Doyle.Performed by Nomasonto Mopfu and Sean Cosgrove.The story of the unexpected bond that forms between a grieving migrant mother and a young orphan boy.

Thou Shalt Not Steal Devised, written and performed by Kestine Ugbodu and Raphael Olympio.The stories of two migrant fathers told from the perspectives of their sons.

My Name is Miremba Written and directed by John Doyle.Performed by Kafayat Elegushi and Olisa Oniah.The story of a woman who has been punished for being a strong woman and her journey towards accepting the aftermath. “My Name is Miremba” is about our notions of beauty, self-acceptance, the bond between a mother and her child and what it is like to be a woman in the world today.

Evelyn Written and directed by John Doyle.Performed by Claudia Connell, Nomasonto Mpofu and Aaron Patrick Cowming.The story of a Dublin housewife who is trapped in an abusive marriage and her unexpected friendship with a Nigerian woman.
