  • AboutFACE Theatre is inviting submissions from emerging Irish women playwrights for Transatlantic Tales 2021. Closing Date 18 April. More info.
  • Streets Ahead is a brand new streets arts professional development programme which has been developed by Cork City Council in partnership with the Irish Street Arts, Circus and Spectacle Network.
    This innovative programme has been designed to support and develop a range of street artists across varying stages of their careers.
    This street skills strand is aimed at arts practitioners working in arts, health, educational and social contexts who are emerging or new to street arts. This professional development strand is subsidised by Cork City Arts Office with the support of Creative Ireland and therefore FREE to participants. Places are limited to 20 participants and full attendance is required.
    Deadline to sign up is Thursday 22 April 2021, 5pm. More info.
  • Dublin Port Company and axis Ballymun – Pumphouse Bursary
    Announcing the Pumphouse Bursary, for professional artists from the Greater Dublin area to develop work in response to, or  that reflects the port area of the city. Bursary funding up to €6000 (panel may decide to offer 2 x bursaries valued at €3,000). Closing Date 23 April. More info.
  • Mayo County Council – Writer In Residence
    This Residency is a partnership between Mayo County Council’s Arts Service, Mayo County Council’s Library Service and the Heinrich Böll Cottage Achill, with funding from Creative Ireland. The total budget of the Residency is €15,000 and this includes the writers fee, travel and accommodation costs and a programme budget. Closing Date 30 April More info.
  • Dublin City Council – Incubation Space Aware 2021 – 2022
    The Incubation Space Award is intended to enable innovative artists / arts companies / collectives – working in any artistic discipline – to research and develop new works or collaborative methodologies, over a period of up to six months, through the provision of a dedicated work-space in Unit 4, James Joyce Street. Closing Date 30 April More info.
  • Irish Theatre Institute (ITI) Spring/Summer 2021 ACCELERATE: Artist Support Programme. More info.
  • Creative Ireland Programme in collaboration with the Department of the Environment, Climate and Communications Creative Climate Action: a €2 million fund for creative projects that will change our behaviour in relation to climate change. Closing Date 21 May. More info.
  • ADI Arts and Disability Connect Scheme – Round One
    This scheme is designed to support individual artists with disabilities to be ambitious, develop their practice, and connect with arts organisations and arts professionals in Ireland. ADI are also running information sessions for potential applicants on 20 April, 27 April and 4 May. Closing Date 24 May.  More info.
  • Public Art Commission: Westport Mayo County Council is delighted to announce a public art opportunity in Westport town. This commission is a unique opportunity for a professional artist(s) to collaborate with the local community of Tubber Hill, Westport and the surrounding area on a public art project. Proposals are welcome from both individuals and collaborative artistic teams. This commission is open to all art forms including visual art, dance, film, literature, music, theatre, digital arts, performance, live art, multimedia, video art, sound art, socially engaged, participatory, research based etc. Proposed outcomes can be ephemeral, temporary, or semi-permanent in nature. Mayo County Council are seeking innovative and imaginative proposals that will involve artist(s) working with the local community to coproduce/ co-design a public artwork / project that will be made available for wider audiences to experience.  Deadline 31 May.   • Centre Stage Online – a free online course for performing artists
    Centre Stage Online is part of a larger European collaborative project developed by the Administration for Cultural Development, the Region Västra Götaland (Sweden), Theatre Forum (Ireland) and Agencia Andaluza de Instituciones (Spain) and co-financed by the EU Creative Europe programme.
    Centre Stage Online is a course for performing arts and music artists who wish to develop their communication and artistic leadership skills. The course is free and available in several different languages. Lots more info on centrestageonline.org.
  • The Arts Council/An Comhairle Ealaíon and Waterford Healing Arts Trust (WHAT) led an online series designed to support the wellbeing of arts professionals in Ireland, with particular relevance to the present Covid-19 pandemic.The programme featured panel exchanges chaired by psychologist Dr Maureen Gaffney, with guest speakers from a range of art forms in addition to follow-up workshops and online resources exploring self-care and wellbeing.
